
Personal Fitness Trainer / Sport Conditioning and Coaching Science
Full-Time: 1 Year
Recommended: Level 1 Coaching Course
(Students will also be encouraged to attend a level 1 course at a Sporting Federation of their choice. This is not included in the course fee. Time will be allocated for this during the year)
Part-Time: Lectures & Workshops are offered over a 6 month period.
Depending on the amount of time a student is able to allocate to study and the nature of previous learning, students should be able to complete all criteria for certification from between a period of 6 months and 1 year.
Distance Learning: Home study with practical workshops – Duration 6 to 8 months.
Aim
To give the student a clear understanding of the specific principles of Fitness training and provide a sound knowledge base from which to progress. Coaching Science is now included in the full-time syllabus. We aim to “multi-skill” our students / graduates thereby increasing the avenues of employment This is a comprehensive program which ensures that graduates enter the workplace with sufficient knowledge and experience in the use of equipment, training, coaching and screening techniques.
