Although the idea of being a kid forever, like Peter Pan, intrigues Shanita (kid’s things are way more fun than adult things), she performs a very adult role as our bookkeeper and debtors clerk, while studying towards a Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping at the same time. As someone who enjoys new challenges, her interests and hobbies are widespread and diverse, including cricket, tennis, swimming, reading and music.

Known for her larger than life personality, Sarah became a fitness enthusiast when she came to South Africa from Belgium many years ago and has been training for 13 years! Although she studied performance arts, she soon realised her other true calling was fitness and went on to study a Diploma in Exercise Sciences. She has competed on various sporting platforms such as bodybuilding and powerlifting. Sarah currently looks after students in her student advisor role, can manage all of the company’s social media platforms and even has a personal training business on the side.

A sport and fitness enthusiast who is passionate about the long term development of sport and fitness

The old adage “Knowledge is Power” rings true when one is involved in upskilling the sport and fitness industry. Growth is dependent on knowledge, passion and perseverance. René’s passion is to upskill those who have the internal drive to develop their skills and knowledge to become great sport and fitness professionals.

René specialised in Long Term Talent Development with focus on the sports code swimming (MPhil Sport Science). She gained experience in education over the past 16 years lecturing at both public and private tertiary institutes. René is not only a lifelong learner but a lifelong athlete. She participates in formal sport and sits on the board of Central Gauteng Modern Biathlon.

As Principal of HFPA and board member of REPSSA, René is poised to further her aims in promoting sport and fitness.
